Chris Bowyer, 33 “Very emotional and moving. You’ve heard so many sides to the 9/11 story, so it’s nice to get the events of the day put to you plainly so that you can make your own mind up. It doesn’t really answer any of the bigger questions, but the performances were all very good and there’s a great pace to the film. Definitely worth seeing.”

Lizzie Sandall, 27; Ann Sandall Ann: “A lot of the sold works were ‘chocolate box’, which is probably why they’ve been snapped up. A lot of the more disturbing works have remained unsold.”
Lizzie: “It was exactly what I was expecting. Nothing very challenging. But good fun.” (Royal Academy of Arts, London W1, www.royalacademy.org.uk 0870 8488484, until Aug 20)
Bevan Ritchie, 30 “Wow. The way they’ve decked out the theatre is great — very dark, violent and gruesome, which is very apt for the play. There’s a lot of comedy, but there were times I found myself laughing when perhaps I shouldn’t have.” (Shakespeare’s Globe, South Bank, London SE1, www.shakespeare-globe.org 020-7401 9919, until Oct 6)
