Sir, Jake Loddington should not be concerned that Marmite and Toblerone with their respective flavours will survive (letter, Feb 9).

He may not remember that chocolate Ryvita was available in the late 1940s. I have a letter from Ryvita confirming that they did indeed manufacture such a product and delicious it was. Needless to say, it was discontinued.
