This northeast firm acted on behalf of a child awarded compensation of more than £24 million in a settlement with a hospital that admitted negligence during the birth, leading to a brain injury and cerebral palsy.
The firm’s commercial property and corporate team advised Monument Real Estate, based in Newcastle, on its £9.3 million acquisition of Gosforth Shopping Centre, a popular local spot, backed by a consortium of local private investors.
It also advised the recruitment specialist Central Employment on its move to a new head office and worked with the northeast leisure operator The Apartment Group to expand its wedding venue portfolio, with the acquisition of the grade II listed Lartington Hall, near Barnard Castle, for an undisclosed sum.
