Harry’s art teacher to get £45,000 from Eton

THE teacher who claimed that Prince Harry had cheated in his A-level art exam has won £45,000 in damages from Eton College, her former employer.

Sarah Forsyth, 31, whose complaint of unfair dismissal and bullying was upheld by an employment tribunal in Reading last July, has reached agreement on compensation. Both sides said yesterday it was the end of the matter.

During the hearing Ms Forsyth had claimed to have made a secret tape recording of a conversation with the Prince, which allegedly proved that she had effectively provided most of the written work that the Prince had to submit as part of his exam.

The claim was strongly denied at the time by Clarence House and by Anthony Little, Head Master of Eton. Shortly after the incident Ms Forsyth, who had been a probationary art teacher at the school, was told that her contract would not be renewed.
