Sir Philip Green has made a second key retail appointment after raiding Burberry for a chief executive for his Topshop fashion chain.
The appointment of Paul Price, who will take the helm at Topshop and Topman in September, follows hot on the heels of the appointment of Baroness Brady as chairwoman of Taveta Investments, the ultimate parent company of Sir Philip’s Arcadia Group.
Mr Price has been at Burberry for almost a decade, rising to chief merchandising officer. Burberry announced in May that he would be leaving to “pursue a new opportunity”.
Mr Price replaces Mary Homer, who announced in March that she would be stepping down to become chief executive of The White Company.
