Sir, I must congratulate Bernie Ecclestone, the FIA, and all those involved in the US Grand Prix fiasco (letters, June 21) for bringing back the excitement to F1 motor racing.

The pre-race speculation was fascinating, the start a complete farce and the commentary during the race a revelation in multiple-layered corporate bungling and obstinate stupidity. I was enthralled.
