Twitter: Heidi plays joker to trump Donald
Donald Trump raised a few eyebrows last week when he declared that the supermodel Heidi Klum was “no longer a 10”. Klum responded by posting a 12-second video to her Twitter and Instagram accounts, which have 3.3m and 1.8m followers respectively. In the clip — at tinyurl.com/TrumpvKlum — Klum poses in a white T-shirt with a sign that reads “10” stuck to it. A man wearing a Trump mask rips off the sign to reveal another number beneath. It is 9.99.
YouTube: Eubank’s hostel intent to Partridge
For years, the former boxer Chris Eubank could not understand why strangers would ask him about youth hostels. The story stretches back 18 years to an episode of I’m Alan Partridge in which Steve Coogan’s hero is trying to impress a BBC executive. He’s up to speed now, however, and has appeared in a short trailer for the “show”, made by the booking site Hostelworld. Watch it at tinyurl.com/ChrisEubank

The Instagram celebrity Josh Ostrovsky, better known as “the Fat Jew”, has been signed up by the talent agency CAA. But not everyone on social media is delighted at his success. Comedians claim many of the droll pictures and captions he posts to his 5.7m Instagram followers are stolen. They are calling for a boycott, which you can join by not following this link: tinyurl.com/FatJewInstagram

The zoologist Mark Carwardine knows only too well how tricky whale-spotting can be. A clip taken from the BBC series Big Blue Live shows him ruing the creature’s elusiveness after a long day of fruitless searching in a known hotspot. “Being whales,” Carwardine says regretfully, “they’re spending most of their lives underwater.” Cue a spray of water from a whale right behind him, described by a commenter as the “first recorded blue whale troll in history”.
