Andrew, pictured with his girlfriend, Philippa Young, runs his own financial services business in Shropshire and invested in a direct property fund two years ago. These schemes, which will be eligible for Isas for the first time this year, invest directly in bricks and mortar rather than property shares.
He said: ‘I also have equity funds in my portfolio, but they can be volatile and I wanted an investment that would give steady returns. I am aware that the rate of growth in the commercial property market could drop by 2% or 3% over the next couple of years, but I am still confident that the market will deliver predictable growth.’
