LEISURE Fuller, Smith & Turner, the London brewer and pub operator, said that it had the firepower to make further acquisitions at least as big as its £92 million takeover a year ago of George Gale & Co, its Hampshire counterpart.
Michael Turner, chief executive, said that Fuller’s, after its successful integration of Gales, was keen to talk to other family businesses finding it hard to compete as a standalone company.
Fuller’s reported half-year pre-tax profits up 31 per cent at £10.9 million on turnover up 35 per cent at £91.1 million.
