Building on its work in the High Court case that exposed the Post Office Horizon scandal — branded as the biggest miscarriage of justice in British legal history — Freeths is helping hundreds of postmasters by supporting the design and implementation of a government-funded compensation scheme.

Its lawyers also advised on the multimillion-pound group litigation legal claim for damages arising out of allegedly unlawful charges imposed by Visa and MasterCard on credit card transactions.

The real estate team advised Dawsongroup, the listed commercial assets supplier, in relation to a £42 million land sale just outside the village of Brogborough, Bedfordshire, at junction 13 of the M1.

It advised Harworth Group on an option agreement to purchase one of the most prominent industrial and logistics development sites in the country, and helped to establish the largest solar farm constructed in Europe.
