Founded as Elmer Fried PC in New York City in 1951, Fragomen has grown from a domestic US immigration law practice to become a global organisation offering support in more than 170 countries. The firm has offices in locations ranging from Sheffield to Lima, and Abu Dhabi to Paris — with immigration as its sole focus.

The firm assists individuals, businesses and educational institutions on contentious and non-contentious matters, and provides advisory and strategic services.

Its teams navigate ever-changing immigration policies to assist clients, and its lawyers have helped companies and individuals to relocate from Russia and Ukraine after the invasion last year.

Working in partnership with the non-governmental organisation Talent Beyond Boundaries, which matches skilled refugees with companies in need of their talents, it has placed 500 people in jobs in the UK alone.
