Lawyers at Fox Williams were hired by the Confederation of British Industry to lead an internal investigation after a series of sexual misconduct allegations were made by female employees. The organisation said that it accepted the conclusions and recommendations of the firm’s investigation in full.

Fox Williams advised Allica Bank, the fintech challenger bank for small and medium-sized businesses, on a £100 million equity raise led by a new US growth investor, alongside Allica’s existing investors.

It also filed securities litigation claims in the High Court against the oil and gas production services company Petrofac seeking compensation and other relief for existing and former investors, including global institutional investors and individual retail investors, who suffered hundreds of millions of pounds of losses as a result of its misconduct.

It follows the investigation of Petrofac by the Serious Fraud Office in connection with allegations of bribery, corruption and money laundering, which resulted in one senior employee pleading guilty to 11 counts of bribery offences and the company itself pleading guilty to multiple charges concerning the payment of bribes totalling £32 million for contracts worth about £2.6 billion.
