Found, a complete baby mammoth

SIBERIA A baby mammoth has been discovered frozen in permafrost and is believed to be the best preserved specimen of its type. The six-month-old female calf is 4ft 3in (1.3m) and weighs 110lb (50kg). It was uncovered on the Yamal peninsula of Russia and is thought to have died 10,000 years ago. The trunk and eyes are still intact and some of its fur remains on the body. The mammoth was discovered by a reindeer herder in May this year. Yuri Khudi stumbled across the carcass near the Yuribei river, in Yamal-Nenets, an autonomous district of the Russian federation.
