Sony/PSP, PS2 (£34.99)

Sony’s new Formula One 06 is more satisfying on the PSP than on the PS2. It is a simpler creation on the handheld console, but no less enjoyable for it. There is still plenty of satisfying depth to the game — all the teams, drivers and circuits are present and there are five game modes to play.

The graphics and sound make full use of the PSP’s capabilities, while there are driving aids aplenty to help those of us who take corners as well as a footballer with his laces tied together.

This is definitely more of a reliable Honda than a flashy Ferrari of a game, but a winner none the less.
