Blackpool remember Armfield
Charlton players joined Blackpool stars, fans and officials in the memorial for Jimmy Armfield despite their match at Bloomfield Road being postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Blackpool’s former England captain died last week of cancer, aged 82. He played a club-record 627 games.
Swindon win seven-goal thriller
Swindon battled from 3-1 down to beat Crewe 4-3 at the County Ground.
Marc Richards’ second goal of the game in the 89th minute proved the decisive blow. Crewe had Zoumana Bakayogo sent off with 10 minutes remaining. Luton survived the first-half dismissal of Jordan Cook to beat Grimsby 1-0.
