Welcome to our new film club.
Each week, we will pick a film making waves at the cinema and invite you to give your opinions, argue about its flaws and merits and decide if you agree with our film critics.
Fair Game, the true story of an American spy, is the first film up for discussion. The Times chief film critic, Kate Muir, gave it four stars in her review and decided that Naomi Watts played CIA agent Valerie Plame as a “powerful, serious spy”, while co-star Sean Penn was “charismatic”.
