Sabrina (1954, b/w)
Sky Movies Drama, 10.05pm
The frosty onscreen chemistry in Billy Wilder’s glossy love-triangle comedy was not entirely fictional. Humphrey Bogart plays an emotionally aloof tycoon constantly at odds with his louche playboy brother, played by William Holden. In reality, the two stars could barely stand each other.
Audrey Hepburn, who co-stars as the eponymous chauffeur’s daughter torn between the warring brothers, also irritated Bogie - he wanted to replace her with his own wife, Lauren Bacall. But Holden and Hepburn got on much better, falling in love for real on set. Sabrina may not be Wilder at his best, but it still wipes the floor with Harrison Ford’s undercooked 1995 remake. (113min)
The Abyss (1989)
E4, 10pm
Dazzling special effects in this gung-ho, underwater alien thriller from the Titanic director James Cameron. (138min)
True Confessions (1981)
BBC One, 12.20am

Titan AE (2000)
ITV1, 3.10am
Graveyard slot for this animated space adventure featuring an all-star voice cast. A clunky plot and terrible dialogue are redeemed by some breathtaking visuals. (94min)
