A father who put a camera inside his 21-year-old son’s bedroom to watch him having sex with his girlfriend has been jailed for four years.
The married man, 53, was “curious” about the couple and put a link into his kitchen so he could watch them while cooking. His voyeurism was exposed when his daughter saw live images of the bed while skipping channels on TV.
She told her brother’s girlfriend, 19, and together they discovered the camera in the loft above the bed. The man’s wife then called the NSPCC, leading to his arrest.
The man, who cannot be named, had also sexually abused his daughter, Oxford crown court was told. He admitted eight counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of voyeurism.
Jenny McVeigh, for the defence, said: “What he is unable to put into words at this stage is the motivation behind his behaviour.”

Judge Ian Pringle said: “A greater breach of trust is difficult to imagine. You wanted to spy on their sexual activity, curious as to what was going on and you even printed out a picture of your son’s girlfriend naked.”
