Two daughters caught a carer slapping their mother after they installed a hidden camera.
Stacey George, 46, hit Sabina Marsden, 78, who has dementia, several times. Mrs Marsden’s daughters recorded the incident on video at their mother’s home in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

They set up the camera after becoming suspicious that she was being abused when her health deteriorated. Gina Owen, 46, and her sister Mandy Aston, 48, look after their mother at evenings and weekends but hired a carer from Mega Nursing and Care to look after her during the day when their father died.

Ms Owen watched live footage on her mobile phone at work as the carer hit her mother five times on the wrist and told her: “God you stink.”
Ms Owen reported George to the company, which said it was “appalled and disgusted” and dismissed her. She was also issued with a caution by police.
