Sir, I was amazed to see the Tesco advert (Jan 13) thanking its staff and suppliers for keeping the stores going during the recent inclement weather, showing a picture of a shovel and ending with the words, “You never ran out of grit”.
It’s a pity they didn’t use a shovel and a bit of grit on the car park and walkways, and thank the regular customers for slipping and sliding their way to the stores.
