England, after winning the toss, made 180 for seven against India in the lone Twenty20 international at Edgbaston, with Eoin Morgan, the captain, top-scoring with 71 off just 31 balls, including seven sixes.

Mohammed Shami led India’s attack with three for 38 in his maximum permitted four overs.

This was the final match of India’s tour of England after they lost the Test series 3-1 but won the one-day international campaign by the same margin.
