This Manchester-headquartered listed law firm advised Durham county council in the UK’s first case brought under the Subsidy Control Act 2022, which involved the council’s waste collection. It is also advising Arts Council England in the first individual subsidy reference to go to the Competition and Markets Authority under the same act.
