Tennis players generally take themselves too seriously, which is hardly surprising when you consider the vast rewards they play for. So it is a refreshing change to be able to take a look at another side of the game.
Wimbledon The Lighter Side features the clowning of Ilie Nastase (such as the time he got down on his hands and knees to check whether or not Cyclops was working), the temper tantrums of John McEnroe — the officials on the wrong end of his outbursts may not have seen the funny side of them at the time, but looking back now, it was pretty comical — and the post-match press conferences when things didn’t always go to plan.
