Established in 1991 through a combination of the Edinburgh firms Drummond & Co and Pairman Miller Murray, the practice’s origins date back to the late 18th century.

A merger last year with the Glasgow-based firm Peacock Johnston has helped the firm to consolidate its expertise in the area of medical and clinical negligence, and it handles some of Scotland’s most complicated and high-value cases, with a particular specialism in cerebral palsy claims.

Recent work has included acting for the family of the deceased in a UK Supreme Court case involving the law of consent and working with an individual who sustained an extremely rare injury during a caesarean section. The firm has also achieved some of the largest settlements in Scotland on behalf of catastrophically injured claimants, including cases of midwifery, obstetric and neurosurgical negligence.

Drummond Miller’s other areas of expertise include conveyancing, family law, immigration, litigation and private client work.
