A Midi files are not music files, so they will not play on MP3 players and the like unless you convert them. When you play them on your computer, the file is simply telling the machine what notes and instrument sounds to trigger on the sound card. To convert them into proper music files, head to www.allformp3.com/convert-midi-to-wav.htm and download the £16 Midi Converter program.

A Mailer-Daemon warnings are generated by e-mail systems when there are problems with sending or receiving messages. They do not necessarily relate to your messages, but are often triggered by antivirus and spam filters. Don’t worry unless they occur repeatedly for the same e-mail address, in which case you should probably let your recipient know — by phone or fax — that they have problems.

A Simple answer? Carefully. All modern screens, LCD or otherwise, have ferociously sophisticated coatings that can be irreparably damaged by rough paper towels, alcohol or detergents. I use Calotherm “high-tech” lens cleaners — cloths and spray — from opticians or www.calotherm.co.uk.
