Can I delete from the cloud some of the Amazon Kindle ebooks I’ve bought? FR, Kendal

Ebook purchases are stored in Amazon’s cloud so whenever you log in to your account — either via a Kindle or its app — all your books will be available to download. But you can remove any of them, as long as you go through the amazon.co.uk website rather than via the app.

Log in and select “Manage Your Content and Devices” from your account page or from the “Hello, (first name)” tab you’ll see at the top of the home page. On selecting “Your Content” you will be presented with a list of past purchases. Select the check-box to the left of any one of these and then click the “Delete” button. You will be given one last chance to cancel the operation, but if you click “Yes, delete permanently”, the ebook will be unlinked for good.
