I want to move photos and video from my iPhone to a tablet for viewing. I can get 64GB of cheap storage on a discounted BlackBerry Playbook. Will I be able to view content on it, and how do I transfer it? NR, London

The 7in Playbook tablet was wildly overpriced on launch but is now a bargain. Sellers on Amazon, for example, offer the 64GB model for £120. Its Pictures app displays still images; its Videos app does the same for films.

You will need a computer to take the content off the iPhone over USB. On a Mac use Apple’s iPhoto or Image Capture; on a PC wait for Windows to recognise the iPhone as a media device and offer to copy the files for you. To transfer them to the Playbook, turn on the tablet’s wi-fi sharing function and send over the content from a computer on the same network, or use BlackBerry’s free device manager software to copy the files over USB.

Bear in mind that 64GB SD cards have come down to about £30.
