A travelling fairground company was told that it would have to pay the London congestion charge for its dodgem cars.
Carters Steam Fair had planned to set up in Covent Garden, inside the charge zone, but cancelled the visit after it was told that each dodgem would incur the £8-a-day charge.
However, Transport for London said yesterday that the letter was a mistake and the funfair would not have to pay the charge after all.
