Dobson leads Wigan away from threat of relegation

WHEN Brian Noble left Bradford Bulls, the engage Super League champions, for rock-bottom Wigan Warriors earlier this season, it seemed an odd decision. Last night it looked easy to understand. A Michael Dobson hat-trick, his first tries for Wigan, set up a 38-16 victory over the Bulls to effectively end fears of relegation.

Wigan led 22-0 at half-time courtesy of four tries. Chris Ashton finished off a six-man move, Pat Richards went over after a break from Mickey Higham and Ashton, Dobson finished off a Danny Orr break and Richards ran the length of the field to score his second.

Bradford hit back through Michael Withers, Andy Lynch and Leon Pryce, but two more tries by Dobson and one by Wayne Godwin sealed the win.
