RPS Group added 1p to 224½p as the chief executive of the environmental consultancy declared the sale of stock for £1.5 million after last week’s record first-half figures. Alan Hearne, who has held the top job for 25 years, disposed of 675,516 shares at 223¾p, which cut his stake in the FTSE 250 company to 1.06 million.
Last month RPS paid £21 million for Burks Green, a smaller rival.
