Direct Stansted Antalya flights launched

Holidaymakers heading to Turkey now have another option for getting there thanks to the launch of a new weekly service between Stansted and the Mediterranean resort of Antalya.

Turkish Airlines’ new direct service departs Stansted every Friday at 1145, arriving in Antalya at 1755. The return flight comes back on Fridays at 0820, arriving in Stansted at 1045.

Turkish Airlines UK and Ireland director Osman Battal said: “This is the first time Turkish Airlines has operated a direct scheduled flight to Antalya from a UK airport.. At present we are operating once a week on Fridays with this increasing to twice as of November 1, 2005.”

Fares start from £136.40 including taxes and charges. By comparison, Excel Airways services between Gatwick and Antalya cost from around £200 including taxes and charges.
