Dear Sarah

Where to find good dry oils

Q The Body Shop makes a marvellous range of moisturising light fruit-oil sprays called Dry Oil Mist, but they are discontinuing them. Is there a similar product available elsewhere?

Tom, Dorset

A Dry Oil Mist is a fantastic means of moisturising, because it locks in moisture and is especially effective applied directly to wet skin. Sadly, though, you are right: the Body Shop are discontinuing the Dry Oil Mist to make way for their Whipped Body Lotions and Pur?es. So you may want to try one of the following. This Works Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil (£32) is an intensive moisturiser for dry skin. It combines nine essential oils with seven cold-pressed plant oils and is full of vitamins, making it a great source of nourishment for your skin. Nyakio Dry Oil Spray (£32), with hints of sandalwood and coconut, has a lovely summer fragrance that is quite unisex, and doesn’t leave the skin greasy or sticky. Both, however, are quite a bit dearer than the Body Shop products. For cheaper options, Soap & Glory Easy Glistening Dry Oil Body Gloss (£4.99 at Boots) is a good option, but has quite a sweet, girly perfume. Or try Malibu Dry Oil Spray (£2.49 at Superdrug), with an added SPF15.
