Familiar as the voice on the records produced by the wildly ecletic Matthew Herbert, Siciliano’s second solo record is a clever collection, occasionally at the listener’s expense. The fine title track could be described as cerebral R&B, despite featuring a sample of a slapped bottom, while the witty Be my Producer is built around a loop of Siciliano’s own voice. It’s good but, at times, a touch over-eager to impress with its originality.
