The Queen, Honorary Air Commodore, today visited Royal Air Force Marham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and was received by the Station Commander (Group Captain Philip Osborn).
Her Majesty witnessed a flypast of aircraft, viewed a Deployed Operational Base and watched an airfield attack display.
The Queen drove to the Depth Support Wing Hangar and met personnel from the Royal Air Force, BAe Systems and Rolls Royce who are working within Depth Support Wing.

Her Majesty afterwards attended a Reception in the Sergeants’ Mess, before being entertained to Luncheon in the Officers’ Mess by the Station Commander.
The Queen this afternoon unveiled a plaque in St. Margaret’s Church to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Church and was received by the Senior Padre (Reverend (Wing Commander) Andrew Turner).
Her Majesty afterwards drove to the Canberra Guardian and unveiled a plaque dedicated to all those who served with the Canberra Aircraft during its fifty-five years of service in the Royal Air Force.
The Queen, accompanied by Group Captain Osborn, subsequently visited Royal Air Force Holbeach and, having been received by Lieutenant Colonel Simon Lloyd (Commander Defence Training Estate (East)), viewed a Tornado GR4 demonstration and met Station personnel.
Finally, Her Majesty viewed a demonstration of explosive ordnance disposal and detonated an explosion remotely.

The Earl of Wessex this morning opened the renovated Belgrade Theatre, Belgrade Square, Coventry, and was received by Mr. David Bradnock (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, this afternoon attended a Lunch for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Midlands Region at the offices of Alexander Stevens, Malvern House, New Road, Solihull, West Midlands.
The Earl of Wessex afterwards opened the new Burns Unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham.
His Royal Highness, Patron, later visited the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Berkley Street, Birmingham.
