June 14: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Prince of Wales, The Princess Royal and Commodore Timothy Laurence RN, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, and Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy and the Rt. Hon. Sir Angus Ogilvy, were present.

The following had the honour of being invited: the Duke and Duchess of Grafton, the Lord Richardson of Duntisbourne, the Lord Carrington (Chancellor) and the Lady Carrington, the Duke and Duchess of Wellington, Field Marshal the Lord and Lady Bramall, the Viscount Ridley and the Hon. June 14: The Earl of Wessex this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from South Africa.

Brigadier John Smedley was in attendance.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Moor House School, this morning opened the Art and Leisure Complex at Moor House School, Mill Lane, Hurst Green, Oxted, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mrs. Timothy Goad).
