The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Crown Prince and Princess of Belgium, this morning visited GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, Wavre, Walloon Brabant, Belgium, and were received by the President of GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals (Mr. Jean Stephenne), the Governor of Walloon Brabant (Mrs. Marie Dominique Simonet) and the Burgomaster of Wavre (Mr. Charles Michel).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were entertained to Luncheon this afternoon by The King and Queen of the Belgians at the Royal Palace of Laeken.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Queen of the Belgians, later arrived at Ieper (Ypres) Town Hall, were received by the Governor of West Flanders (Mr. Paul Breyne) and the Burgomaster of Ieper (Mr. Luc Dehaene) and walked through Town Hall Square.

The Queen with The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Queen of the Belgians, drove to the Menin Gate where Her Majesty laid a wreath.
Their Majesties and His Royal Highness subsequently drove to Tyne Cot Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery and were received by Air Chief Marshal Sir Peter Squire (Vice Chairman of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission) and the Burgomaster of Zonnebeke (Mr. Dirk Cardoen).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Queen of the Belgians, witnessed a flypast by the Belgian Air Force, before attending a Commemoration Service to mark the Ninetieth Anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh laid a wreath and, accompanied by The Queen of the Belgians, toured the Cemetery and witnessed a flypast by vintage aircraft.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Marham from Belgium.

The Countess of Airlie, Mr. Edward Young, Commander Heber Ackland RN and Squadron Leader Andrew Calume RAF were in attendance.
The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended the opening of the Exhibition of Islamic Art at the Ismaili Centre, South Kensington, London SW7, and were received by The Aga Khan and Mr. Richard Walker-Arnott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
His Royal Highness later received Mr. Koichiro Matsuura (Director General, United Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation).
The Prince of Wales this evening attended the Police Bravery Awards and Dinner at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (the Lord Imbert).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Whitley Fund for Nature, this afternoon visited the Institute for Ecological Research Centre, Rodavia Dom Pedro 1, Nazare Paulista, Sao Paulo.
The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil (His Excellency Dr. Peter Collecott) at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Consul-General in Sao Paulo.
