The following were received by The Queen today upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when Her Majesty conferred upon them the honour of Knighthood and invested them with the Insignia of Knights Bachelor: Mr Justice Haddon-Cave, Mr Justice Globe, Mr Justice Hildyard, Mr Justice Singh, Mr Justice Moor and Mr Justice Popplewell.

Mrs Justice Lang was received by The Queen upon her appointment as a Justice of the High Court when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon re-opened Kensington Palace State Apartments following an extensive renovation project and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of Historic Royal Palaces (Mr Charles Mackay) and the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (Councillor Julie Mills).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Senior Fellow, the Bray Fellowship, College of St George, Windsor Castle, this morning received Major General Sir Michael Hobbs and Mr John Spurling at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended a Dinner at the Garrick Club, 15 Garrick St, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
