The Duke of Edinburgh, President and Honorary Life Fellow, the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, this evening chaired the President’s Lecture and afterwards attended a Dinner at John Adam Street, London WC2.

The Princess Royal this morning opened the Western Riverside Waste Authority Materials Recycling Facility at Smugglers Way, Wandsworth, London SW18, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
Her Royal Highness later opened the new Garth Hill College in Bull Lane, Bracknell, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss).
