February 7: The Queen arrived at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

The Rt Hon Tony Blair MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Field Marshal Sir John Stanier (formerly Aide-de-Camp General) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of General Sir Roland Guy (formerly Aide-de-Camp General) which was held in the Chapel of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Major the Lord Glenarthur.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Lieutenant Commander Sir Richard Buckley RN.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Lieutenant Colonel Richard Macfarlane.

February 7: The Duchess of Cornwall, President, National Osteoporosis Society, this morning visited the Centre for Metabolic Bone Disease, Hull Royal Infirmary, Kingston upon Hull, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire (the Hon Mrs Cunliffe-Lister).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Age Concern Healthy Living Centre, Bradbury House, Kingston upon Hull.

The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards opened the new Lowna Dairy, Raywell, Kingston upon Hull.

February 7: The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, and President, British Olympic Association, this afternoon departed from Gatwick Airport, London, for Italy.

Her Royal Highness, Member, International Olympic Committee, this evening attended the Opening Ceremony of the 118th Session at Teatro Regio, Turin.

February 4: The Duke of Kent, Field Marshal, this morning left Royal Air Force Brize Norton to visit British units serving in Iraq.

His Royal Highness this evening arrived at Basra Air Station and was received by the General Officer Commanding, Headquarters Multinational Division (Major General John Cooper).

February 5: The Duke of Kent, Field Marshal, this morning attended the Church Service at Basra Air Station, Iraq, with the Commander, 7th Armoured Brigade and Military staff.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, this afternoon visited the 1st Battalion at the Old State Building, Basra City, and at Shaiba Logistics Base.

The Duke of Kent later visited patients and staff at the Field Hospital.

His Royal Highness this evening dined with Officers of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

February 6: The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this morning visited units of the Regiment at Umm Qasr (North Port) and this afternoon visited Regimental Headquarters and units at Camp Abu Naji, Al Amara, Maysan Province, Iraq.

His Royal Highness later visited Basra Air Station and met Royal Air Force units.

The Duke of Kent afterwards attended a Service of Repatriation of the bodies of British casualties at Basra Air Station.

His Royal Highness subsequently departed Basra Air Station for the United Kingdom.

February 7: Princess Alexandra, Patron, Cottage and Rural Enterprises, today opened the new service at 1 Phillippines Close, Hever Road, Edenbridge, and was received by the Viscount De L’Isle (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Foundation Building at Wilson’s School, Mollison Drive, Wallington, and was received by Air Vice Marshal Colin Evans (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).
