The Queen, Patron, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, today visited the Lawn Tennis Championship Meeting, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19, and was received by the President (The Duke of Kent) and the Chairman (Mr. Timothy Phillips).

Her Majesty toured the Club, viewed demonstrations by junior players and met past and present Wimbledon players.

The Queen was entertained to Luncheon this afternoon by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Her Majesty afterwards watched a tennis match on Centre Court.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the John Burns Cottages affordable housing development at Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

His Royal Highness, President, WaterAid, afterwards visited Glastonbury Festival, Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, this evening attended a Chapel Service at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3, followed by a Reception and Beating Retreat to commemorate the Seventieth Anniversary of the formation of the Airborne Forces.

His Royal Highness subsequently viewed the Elephant Family’s model elephant parade at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited premises badly damaged by the floods of September 2008 at Riverside Lodge, Morpeth, Northumberland.

The Countess of Wessex later met residents and viewed businesses in Rothbury affected by the floods of September 2008.
