June 14: Mr Ian Grant (Chairman of the Crown Estate) was received by The Queen this morning.

The Very Reverend Dr John Moses was received by Her Majesty upon his retirement as Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral when The Queen invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mrs Moses was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Brian Bender (Permanent Secretary at the Department of Trade and Industry) was received by The Queen.

Mr John Heppell MP (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by Her Majesty and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which The Queen was graciously pleased to make reply.

The Governor-General of New Zealand and Mr Peter Cartwright were invited to Luncheon with The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Federation of London Youth Clubs, this morning received Mrs Joan Howard upon relinquishing her appointment as Acting Chief Executive and Mr Nicholas Wilkie upon assuming his appointment as Chief Executive.

June 14: The Duke of Cornwall this morning attended the “Showcase Launceston” event at Launceston Castle and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (the Lady Mary Holborow).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened Duchy Originals Foods Limited, Pennygillam, Launceston.

The Duke of Cornwall later visited Princetown, Dartmoor, and was received by the Earl of Devon (Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Devon).

His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting with representatives of the Dartmoor Hill Farm Initiative.
