June 22: The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Governor of South Australia (Her Excellency Marjorie Jackson-Nelson) was received by Her Majesty.

The Queen held a Council at 5.30 pm.

There were present: the Baroness Amos (Lord President of the Council), the Rt Hon John Hutton MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster) and the Rt Hon Dawn Primarolo MP (Paymaster General).

Dr Denis MacShane MP, Mr Patrick McLoughlin MP and the Rt Hon Sir Martin Moore-Bick were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

June 22: The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay this morning attended a Reception at Edinburgh Castle to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of the end of the Second World War and met veterans and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Mrs Martin Hinds, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for The Prince’s Trust Scotland and The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay this evening gave a Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse to celebrate the Arts in Scotland.
