WINDSOR CASTLE
June 20: The Queen, with The Duke of Edinburgh, honoured Ascot Races with her presence today.
Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, opened the new racecourse and was received by Her Majesty’s Representative and Chairman of Ascot Racecourse (the Duke of Devonshire).
The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Brigadier Peter Williams at the Funeral of Lieutenant Colonel David Wood (former Temporary Equerry to His Royal Highness) which was held in St John the Baptist Church, Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, this afternoon.

June 20: The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, World War One Veterans Association, this morning attended a Reception for War Veterans at the Town Hall, Worthing, given by the London Taxi Benevolent Association for War Disabled, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (Mr Hugh Wyatt).

June 20: Princess Alexandra, Patron and Air Chief Commandant, Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service, this afternoon received Group Captain Wendy Williams upon relinquishing her appointment as Director of Nursing Services (Royal Air Force) and Matron-in-Chief, and Group Captain Jacqueline Gross upon assuming the appointment.
