If you’ve got a great idea for an iPhone game but don’t have a clue about how to turn it into an app, Neon Play wants to hear from you. The games developer should know a hit when it sees one — it was behind the bestselling Flick Football and Paper Toss iPhone apps. Now it has teamed up with MacFormat magazine to find its next hit. Print out the form from the web address above, sketch in a few screens and give a description of your concept. A “panel of experts” — InGear is still waiting for the call — will go on to choose one entry to be made into a genuine game. When this eventually goes on sale in the App Store, the contest winner will receive 25% of the profits; if it turns out to make as much money as Angry Birds, pictured above, has in a year, that would be a cool £1.75m in your pocket. The closing date for entries is May 11.
