TIME on your hands? Can’t face another afternoon watching Richard and Judy? Then get online and sell your time. The Slivers of Time project, funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, was launched in Newham, East London, and could spread across the UK by the end of the year, reports Regeneration & Renewal (Jan 20). The scheme matches employers who need flexible workers with underemployed “sellers” who sign up via a website. Wingham Rowan, the project director, says he wants the programme to be as successful as eBay, which he says also leaves little to waste.
