EasyJet boost

EasyJet reported an 11.2 per cent rise in January passenger numbers compared with the same month last year. The budget airline had 2.3 million passengers last month. However, its load factor, the percentage of available seats that are filled, was down to 74.2 per cent, against 76.4 per cent a year earlier.

Stores firm lists

Lotte, South Korea’s largest department store chain, is to list in London today. Lotte launched an initial public offering in Seoul on January 27, raising $3.54 billion (£2 billion) in Korea’s largest fundraising by a private company. The float valued Lotte at about $11.8 billion.
