Bross Bennett, a niche London family law firm, was established with the aim of providing its clients with “compassionate, cost-effective and pragmatic advice”.

Recent work has included acting for a foreign royal in an arbitration to overturn a disadvantageous settlement agreed upon while the client had been suffering from mental health issues. The case required asset tracing in several jurisdictions and an investigation into the family wealth.

The firm represented a US-based banker successfully amending a court order to reduce the amount of maintenance he had to pay to his former wife, as well as the term during which he had to pay it.

In a ten-year dispute, the firm succeeded in resisting an application made by an abusive father for the discharge of a “barring order”, which prevented him from repeatedly dragging his former wife back to court as a way to continue his abuse of her. The father’s application was dismissed and a bar imposed for the child’s minority.
