With a new outpost in Abu Dhabi joining offices in Brussels, London and across Scotland, Brodies has been underlining its international status this year.
Key areas of expertise include banking and finance, company and commercial, corporate property, energy, and mergers and acquisitions. The firm’s private client arm advises on areas including family law, personal tax planning and wills and estates.
Recent work includes acting for the transport firm Park’s of Hamilton and Rangers Football Club in a dispute with the Scottish Professional Football League over sponsorship rights. The firm has also represented Quantum Energy Partners in a £300 million deal to transform Ardersier Port in the Highlands and provided legal support to Stornoway Port Authority on the creation of its £59 million deepwater terminal in the Outer Hebrides.
This year Brodies became the first Scottish law firm to achieve annual revenues in excess of £100 million, a figure that was up 8 per cent on the previous year.
