Sir, Call me paranoid, but I am convinced that someone follows me round the supermarket and when I pick up an item that my husband and I particularly like, this person mutters into a device “She has just picked up two packets of chocolate ginger biscuits; discontinue them” (letter, Feb 12). And sure enough, when I come to buy some more a while later, I cannot find them, only to be told: “They have been discontinued.”
It has happened too often to be a coincidence.
