Brewers raise a glass to lesser call of duty

Two cuts in beer duty and the scrapping of the hated beer duty escalator have boosted independent brewers and created thousands of jobs, according to a report. The Society of Independent Brewers estimates that 1,600 positions have been created at breweries operated by its members over the past two years.
